Olowo is different from alaanu.
The fact that someone has money doesn’t mean they’ll help you with it.
You can know many people and still not have people.
That line alone shook me: “You may know people and still not have people.”
Because it’s true.
Some people are rich in resources but poor in compassion. Some have access but no intention. Some smile with you but won’t stand with you.
Ole mo eeyan, kò ma ní èèyàn. You can know people and still not have people.
Having people is not about contacts. It’s about hearts that are willing.
Hands that show up. Souls that care beyond convenience.
Not everyone around you is for you. And not everyone who can help you will.
Sometimes, your real support will come from the least expected place.
And sometimes, the ones you expect the most from will disappoint you the hardest.
That’s life.
So be grateful for those who don’t just know you, but show up for you.
