OSUN STATE, NIGERIA … The campaign team of Allied People’s Movement (APM) candidate Ibraheem Luqman Adekunle has dismissed a circulating list claiming that the candidate has been removed from the ballot for the 2027 general elections in Osun State, describing the information as false and misleading.
In a disclaimer issued by the campaign team, members of the public were urged to disregard the list circulating on social media and rely on official information published by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
According to the statement, the campaign team referred to an INEC candidate list which it says identifies Ibraheem Luqman Adekunle under the APM platform. The team maintained that supporters and residents should not be misled by unverified claims concerning the candidate’s electoral status.
The campaign team also urged members of the public to verify election-related information through official INEC publications and other credible sources before sharing it online.
It further stated that the campaign would remain focused on its political mission and engagement with the electorate, rather than being distracted by rumours and misinformation.
PRESSHUB MEDIA AGENCY notes that the claims and counterclaims surrounding the candidate’s status should be assessed against the relevant official INEC records. The campaign team’s statement alone does not independently establish the candidate’s final status on the ballot.
Members of the public are therefore encouraged to consult INEC’s official publications for confirmation of candidates and their eligibility as the 2027 elections approach.
