BREAKING: US Congressman Calls for Ilhan Omar’s Deportation if Fraud Allegations Are Proven

WASHINGTON, D.C., UNITED STATES … A senior Republican leader in the U.S. House of Representatives has called for Democratic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar to face imprisonment and deportation if a federal investigation proves that she or her father made false statements on immigration paperwork used to obtain U.S. citizenship.

The comments were made by House Majority Whip Tom Emmer, who represents Minnesota, Omar’s home state. Speaking to Fox News, Emmer said that if the allegations are proven in court, Omar should face legal consequences, including possible imprisonment and deportation.

The remarks came days after Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) executed a court-authorized search warrant at Omar’s Washington, D.C., residence as part of an ongoing federal criminal investigation. The U.S. Department of Justice confirmed that the search was legally authorized but has not announced any charges against the congresswoman.

According to reports, investigators are examining decades-old immigration paperwork completed when Omar arrived in the United States as a child with her family from Somalia. The investigation is reportedly focused on whether false information was provided during the immigration process, including questions surrounding her age at the time of her family’s citizenship application.

Omar has strongly denied wrongdoing, describing the investigation as politically motivated. Through her legal team, she has challenged the search of her home and argued that the federal action amounts to an abuse of power.

The controversy has intensified political tensions in Washington, with Republican lawmakers arguing that the investigation should proceed without interference, while Democratic leaders have criticized both the timing of the search and the broader handling of the case.

Despite renewed circulation of long-standing allegations including claims that Omar married her brother those allegations have remained unproven, and no court has found her guilty of immigration fraud.

The federal investigation remains ongoing, and no final legal determination has been made.As of the time of filing this report, Ilhan Omar continues to serve as the U.S. Representative for Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District while the investigation proceeds.
