Troops have successfully rescued six people who were abducted during the recent attack on a church in Ejiba, Kogi State. The victims were freed during a coordinated operation carried out by security forces following the violent incident that shocked the community.
According to early reports, the rescue mission was launched after intelligence units traced the movement of the kidnappers into a remote area. Troops engaged the criminals and were able to safely recover all six abducted worshippers without casualties. The victims are currently receiving medical attention and undergoing debriefing.
Residents of Ejiba expressed relief as news of the rescue spread, praising the swift response of security personnel. Community leaders also called for increased surveillance and protection around worship centers to prevent further attacks.
