Ikirun College of Health Technology Hosts the Chief Superintendent of Police(CSP) Ogundare Babatunde and His Team for Security Consultation

Ikirun College of Health Technology (ICHT) is proud to announce the visit of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Ogundare Babatunde and his colleagues, ESP Joe Michael, Inspector Adebayo Ismail, Corporal Oluwatobi, and Constable Taofeek from Iyaganku Police Station, Ikirun, Osun State O on 13th of September, 2024. Their visit is a key part of our ongoing efforts to enhance campus security.

The team provided valuable insights and recommendations aimed at bolstering safety measures for both students and staff throughout the institution.

Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Ogundare Babatunde and his team were warmly received by the College Registrar, Mr. Abdullahi Adeniyi; the Dean of Student Affairs (DSA), Mr. Ibrahim Alate; the College Public Relations Officer (PRO), Miss Aishat Afolayan and the College Bursar, Mr Abiodun Mustapha in the absence of the Rector.

Their visit was part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen security at Ikirun College of Health Technology. During his speech, CSP Ogundare Babatunde reassured the college of his unwavering support, emphasizing that both he and other district officers are fully committed to maintaining the safety and security of students and staff at Ikirun College of Health Technology.

He also stated that they would extend their efforts to safeguard the college’s property, ensuring the security of the school premises in addition to the students and staff.

CSP Ogundare Babatunde also emphasized the importance of maintaining the college’s reputation by ensuring that the students admitted uphold the institution’s standards.

He recommended implementing a dress code for students to ensure they represent Ikirun College of Health Technology appropriately in all settings.

This dress code would serve as a visual reminder of the college’s values and contribute to a professional image, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to maintaining high standards both on and off campus.

Additionally, he highlighted the importance of safe and secure accommodation for students, noting that the college has already taken significant steps to address this need from the beginning of the session.

CSP Ogundare Babatunde also stressed the need for thorough screening of staff, particularly in medical fields, due to the critical nature of their roles.

He emphasized that security personnel should undergo rigorous screening to ensure they are well-suited for the job, and that measures should be in place to prevent student distractions.

During his visit, CSP Babatunde and his team engaged with students in their classrooms, advising them to stay focused on their academic goals, avoid misconduct, and assured them of their safety within the college.

He also cautioned against participating in night activities that could distract from their primary purpose at the college and advised against indecent dressing to maintain the institution’s standards and decorum.

Following the visit, the Registrar and other staff members extended their heartfelt appreciation to CSP Babatunde for his insightful guidance and encouragement.

They acknowledged his valuable contributions in strengthening both the institution’s security measures and the well-being of the students.
