The Public Medication Policing (NDLEA) says it has annihilated over 100,000kg of pot spread across 51 hectares of farmland in Ekiti.

Mr Babafemi said that NDLEA agents upheld by men of the Nigerian Armed force on Tuesday, 3 September, and Wednesday, 4 September, raged three camps inside the Ise-Ekiti woods save in the Ise/Orun Neighborhood Government Region of the state.

He named the impacted regions: Aba Saalaja with 23 hectares, Aba Paanu with 12 hectares, and Aba Arogunmatidi with 16 hectares, all inside the Ise-Ekiti backwoods hold.

Mr Babafemi said that agents in Kogi State, on Wednesday, blocked 77,300 pills of Tramadol, Diazepam, and Exol-5 with 1,230 jugs of Codeine in a business transport driven by Attai Okolo, 68, along Aloma – Ejule street, Ofu LGA, Kogi State.
“One more was grabbed on the Okene-Lokoja-Abuja Interstate on Tuesday, 3 September, with 42.400kg marijuana (Indian hemp) coming from Lagos on the way to Kano.

“NDLEA agents in Borno captured a 40-year-elderly person at Ramat area of Maiduguri on Thursday, Sept. 5 with 13,100 pills of Tramadol.

“Likewise, agents in Kano on 4 September, grabbed a man with 25.8kg weed and 3,000 pills of Diazepam along Kano – Daura street,” he said.
The NDLEA representative said that no less than 87,790 pills of Tramadol were recuperated from Musa Adamu, 30, when he was captured in Punch, Taraba State.

Babafemi said that a strike on the home of a medication boss, Mayowa Abayomi Wonderment (a.k.a Priest), in Ilesa, Osun state, on Wednesday, Sept. 4, prompted the capture of 43grammes of rocks and 23grams of Methamphetamine, 17.126kg pot and a privately made gun.
