Bursary Award Discussion: Senior Special Assistant on Student Matters Meets with Key NAOSS Leaders and Indigenous Presidents Regarding Outstanding Bursary Payments.

By Hammed Hammed From Osun State

As the Senior Special Assistant on Student Matters to the Executive Governor of Osun State, I recently hosted a crucial meeting involving the indigenous presidents of various towns under the watch of the National Association of Osun State Students (NAOSS). The primary focus of this meeting was the unpaid bursary promised by the Osun State government, a matter of significant concern to the student body.

The meeting saw the active participation of the leadership of the National Association of Osun State Students, led by its president, Comrade Akinnibi Miftahu Oyempemi, alongside the indigenous presidents of various towns and local government areas. Each representative had the opportunity to voice their pressing issues affecting the Association, ensuring a comprehensive discussion on the challenges faced by the students.

In my opening remarks, I extended my heartfelt appreciation to everyone who attended the meeting. I commended their dedication and leadership spirit, which are crucial for addressing the needs of our student community. Your commitment to the welfare of Osun State students is deeply valued.

As far as my office is concerned, the smooth functioning of the student constituency is my top priority. I want to assure you all that every necessary step towards the payment of the bursary is in place, and efforts are ongoing. The concerns you have raised are being addressed with the utmost seriousness and urgency they deserve.

I urge everyone to exercise patience regarding the payment of the bursary. I understand the frustration and challenges that come with delays, but I want you all to have trust in the commitment and efforts of the Osun State government. In a short time, you will experience the positive impact of the principles and promises of His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Asiwaju Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, towards the student constituency.

Once again, thank you for your participation and your unwavering commitment to the betterment of Osun State students. Your voices are heard, and your concerns are being acted upon. Together, we will ensure that the promises made to our students are fulfilled, and their educational experiences are enhanced.
