Three people have been affirmed dead in a street mishap in Abia State, south-east Nigeria.
The mishap happened Thursday morning along the Port Harcourt-Enugu Freeway, close to Umuchieze in Umunneochi Nearby Government Region of the state.
The occurrence, including a truck and a transport, occurred at a police designated spot in the area.
Apart from the three departed casualties, five others, who supported wounds were being treated at an emergency clinic, Paul Kalu, one of the observers said.
The police representative in Abia State, Maureen Chinaka, affirmed the improvement in a proclamation on Thursday.

Ms Chinaka, an associate director of police, said the occurrence happened when the driver of the truck failed to keep a grip on the vehicle while dropping a slant nearby.
The police representative said the driver, Amaechi Nwankwo, subsequently annihilated two military blockades which he needed to use to stop the quickly moving vehicle.
“The driver at last got to the third (blockade) which was the police designated spot at that area however crashed into a fixed transport, bringing about the demise of two travelers, and harming five others,” she said.

She said the driver of the vehicle had been captured.
